Québec's Bands and Regiments

La Musique des Voltigeurs de Québec

The "Musique des Voltigeurs de Québec" is one of the most prestigious Band from the reserve. Created in 1866, it has now 40 members. The formation serves as well of Band for the General Quarter of the 35th Canadian Brigade, situated on the Citadel road. With his great reputation, the Band performs in various event, such as the changing of the guard at the Québec Citadel. The Bands also give popular concerts within Québec region.

La Musique du Royal 22e Régiment

The "Musique du Royal 22e Régiment" is very versatile. In addition to military marches, its repertory included fantasies on folkloric melodies, classical music adaptation, movie music as well as jazz and popular music. As the only French Canadian Band of the reular Forces, the Canadian composers such as Robert Farnon, Howard Cable, James Gayfer, Gérald Gagnier et Charles O'Neill are regularly played, with a special consideration for Québec composers such as Félix Leclerc, Gilles Vigneault, Jean Lapointe, Jean-Pierre Ferland, Robert Charlebois and more recently, Eric Lapointe et France D'Amours.

Québec City 78th Fraser Highlanders

With his Scottish heritage, the Québec City 78th Fraser Highlanders proudly represents Gaelic traditions. Pipes and drums are the main instruments of this formation who regularly takes part in popular concerts.
