The Québec City International Festival of Military Bands would like to invite you for a press tour which will take place in Québec, Canada, in 2010.
Québec is the only fortified city in North America. It’s astonishing sceneries are predestined to military music. Québec City International Festival of Military Bands invites you to discover this recognized treasure through the eyes of the best military Bands from across Canada, Americas and Europe.
The Festival is a major cultural event in La Vieille Capitale, as well as the rendezvous par excellence for Canadian and international military bands. This is a unique window providing Canada with an opportunity to welcome countries from around the world to the city of Québec. Festival-goers, whether local or foreign visitors, can discover and appreciate Canadian and international military music traditions and their values.
In 2008, the Festival celebrates the 400th anniversary of Québec and the 10th anniversary of the Festival. A celebration with more than 1 200 musicians and 12 countries!
On the press tour program:
- Take part in the Festival’s major events (Grand Concerts, Québec City Military Tattoo, Festival Parade) and numerous outdoor concerts;
- Go backstage at the Québec City Military Tattoo;
- Meet the Festival artisans;
- Enjoy a guided tour of Old Québec;
- Go on a nature tour of Québec coast.
